CSD-3013 Speech and Hearing Science
This course focuses on the acoustic principles of speech and hearing. The principle behind the normal and abnormal functioning of the auditory system and its impact on the speech mechanism. This course offers an in-depth insight into the basic physics of sound, understanding of speech and voice production, anatomy of the respiratory, phonatory, resonatory, and articulatory subsystems, and the use of instrumentation pertaining to speech and hearing.
