Peace and Conflict Studies Minor

This undergraduate minor gives students the tools to analyze global conflicts and the skills to understand and contribute to efforts to build peace and address conflicts. Students will have opportunities to explore pressing issues from political violence and terrorism to civil resistance through international coursework throughout the Nazarene global network.

The PCS program requires 20 hours of coursework. Students will take nine hours of required courses at MVNU and an additional 12 hours of courses at Africa Nazarene University (ANU) in Nairobi, Kenya. The courses at ANU are selected from the list of courses within the Peace and Conflict Studies program. If a student would like to take courses related to peace and conflict studies that do not appear on this list, they may request credit toward the minor with their advisor's approval.

All students seeking the PCS minor must complete at least one semester at Africa Nazarene University.
