SWKR-6063 Social Work Macro Practice

This course introduces students to macro social work practice. Students will learn about social work practice within organizations and communities and learn about the concept of social planning. The course also introduces students to the role of an administrator within a social services organization and provides and overview of the policies that influence macro practice. Additionally, students will learn how to use research to inform macro practice. After completing the course, students will be prepared to apply generalist social work skills to the macro area of practice.
