EDU-3141 Developmental Literacy Laboratory

A field experience focused on the developmental needs of readers and writers in grades K-8. Candidates will study various aspects of quality literacy instruction as confirmed by current research with an emphasis on stages of literacy development, the Science of Reading, and instructional routines such as interactive writing, shared reading, guided reading, and the interactive read-aloud. Candidates will also try out assessment tools such as the running record and anecdotal notes.
